NK-Chinese Film `Secret of Yoktosan' to Be Released

A feature film co-produced by North Korea and China based on the life of the ethnic Korean wrestler Yoktosan will be released in China next month, the Yonhap News Agency reported yesterday.
The film, titled "The Secret of Yoktosan", was originally to be released in March but was postponed to next month due to distribution problems, according to the China Korea Movie Association.
The film is based on the true story of a wrestler who kept his ethnicity secret while becoming popular in Japan. A South Korean feature film (Rikidozan) about the same wrestler was released in December 2004.
